Why a Private Fitting Is Worth It
A tape measure gives you a starting point. It can't tell you how a French-cut lace sits compared with a molded cup, or why one brand's 34 fits differently from another's. Fit lives in those details, and they only show up when you try pieces on with someone who knows what to look for.
Your size also changes over time. Weight shifts, hormones, pregnancy and simply time can all change it. If you've worn the same size for years, it's worth checking.
What Happens During Your Appointment
It starts with a conversation. We'll ask what you wear most, what hasn't worked before, and what you're shopping for: an occasion, a wardrobe refresh, or no reason at all.
Then you try pieces on, in private. We'll pull a starting size and alternatives across styles and brands, including Empreinte, Fleur du Mal, Kiki de Montparnasse, and pieces you'll only find in our boutique.
We tell you honestly what works. Here's what we look for:
- Band: level all the way around and secure, without digging in. The band does most of the support work.
- Cups: smooth, with no spilling over the edge and no gaps.
- Center panel: lies flat against your sternum.
- Straps: stay in place without carrying all the weight.
If something isn't right, we adjust and try again. There is no obligation to buy.
How to Prepare
- Wear a fitted, plain top so you can see how each piece looks under clothing.
- Bring your current size, even if you suspect it's wrong. It's a useful starting point.
- Mention the occasion. If you're dressing for a wedding, a specific dress or an event, tell us when you book, or bring a photo.
- Leave the number at the door. The right fit matters more than the size on the label.

Booking Your Fitting
Appointments are complimentary, available Monday through Friday, and typically run 60 to 90 minutes, depending on what you're looking for.
- In person: at our boutique in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward, 321 N Jefferson St. Mondays and Tuesdays are reserved exclusively for private appointments.
- Virtual: for clients outside Milwaukee. It's the same guidance, from home.
